Arla Starts Things off with a Kick!

It's Arla's first day in Twinbrook and she's a happy new home owner!  For roughly $15 500, Arla purchased her first home, a two bedroom, one bath bungalow.  Arla loves the fact that the home came with an outdoor entertaining area equip with BBQ and picnic table.  When looking at other homes in the area, at a comparable price-point, Arla chose this home for the second bedroom that others did not offer.  She is eager to start a family, and does not want to have to move or renovate to welcome a new baby, making the second bedroom perfect!  For now, the second bedroom is acting as a studio, for Arla to practice her creativity and research fashion.  The house came furnished, and although it is not the style that Arla would decorate with, she is confidant that she'll be able to use her creativity skills to decorate and refurbish the home to her liking.  Arla's definitely a DIY kind of girl!

Arla began her first day by practicing her fashion drawing.  Although she could just join the fashion oriented career path, she isn't confidant with her skills yet to do so.  To pay the bills and ensure that she has plenty of time to practice drawing, Arla has chosen to temporarily work at the local spa part-time.  She put in her resume and was hired as a beverage consultant, working 5 days a week for 15 hours/week.  To start, she make $33/hour.

 That afternoon, Arla walked around the park near the spa and introduced herself to some of the people in town.  She met Rod Lee, and the two seemed to hit it off great.  Although Arla wants to have a large family in the near future, her fear of commitment gets in her way, and she failed to ask Rod on a date.

Later that night, Arla felt discouraged and ate ice cream straight from the carton.  It's not even her favourite food!  She came to her senses and gave Rod a call.  They chatted for almost an hour!  After hanging up the phone, Arla felt great and threw the ice cream out and made her favourite meal, macaroni and cheese... even is it was horrific quality.  Exciting things lay ahead for Arla Knight!

Meet Arla Knight!

Arla Knight, Legacy Founder

Arla Knight is the new gal in town, and she has big dreams!  Her characteristics are great kisser, artistic, ambitious, commitment issues, and family-oriented.  Her life aspiration is to have a large family, and raise at least five children to teenagehood.  She loves macaroni and cheese, soul music and the colour purple (it looks great with her auburn hair!).  Arla hopes to embrace her true self and make it in this sim world!  Arla has dreams of becoming a fashion stylist and has been working hard to improve her artistic skills by researching fashion. 

She has a great personal sense of style!

Although Arla is proud of her body, she chooses to wear a full-piece bathing suit to hide an embarrassing tattoo she got on spring break as a teenager!

Knight Family Legacy Rules

These rules have been modified from the original Legacy Challenge Rules.

1. The Knight Legacy will start with one lone young adult aged sim, Arla Knight.

2. Aging and story progression are set at normal.

3. No money or mood cheats will be used.

4. The Legacy founder, Arla Knight may marry anyone in the current neighbourhood, except rich sims.  Her offspring may marry anyone regardless of their financial title.

5. The heir to the legacy will be a daughter born to Arla, and will continue as a matriarchy.

6. I will be disregarding the points systems outlined by the original Legacy Challenge, but each individual chosen to remain in the household as a core family member will pursue a different life aspiration and each heir will have their portrait painted as either a young adult, an adult or an elder.

7.  I will also be disregarding the rule that the Legacy must start on a large lot and remain on that lot for the challenge.  Arla has started in a modest home, and will live within her means and move the family to a better home as she can afford it.  (I find this more interesting and fun to play)
